Travel Information Please check our Holiday Checklist for things you may need for your holiday. Our pharamacist is always glad to give you advice about avoiding sunburn, tummy upsets, malaria and other holiday risks and to recommend suitable remedies and precautions. Check out our prices on Anti-Malaria drugs. Holiday Checklist Prescriptions Ensure you have enough of your perscription medicine to ast the holiday, especially asthma medication and insulin. If you need a repeat perscription, give yourself plenty of time to make an appointment with your GP and to get the prescription refilled. A perscription can take 2-3 days to be filled. Disease Prevention Check if you need to get vaccines or need to take anti-malaria treatment before you go on holiday Again, see your GP as soon as you book your trip as some treatments must be taken a few weeks before you leave. Insurance Travel insurance which covers health care is a very worthwhile investment. In countries such as the USA, you will be charged for any medical treatment you receive. If you are holidaying in the European Union (EU), don't forget to pick up an E111 form from your local post office. The E111 will enable you and your family to receive free or reduced-cost emergency medical treatment. Even so, it is highly recommended that you also get travel insurance as the E111 does not cover all medical services. If you do not cover yourself, you may come home from holiday with a large medical bill! What to pack
